A mandala is a symbolic
diagram that in Budish represents the evolution of the Universe from a central
point of view. It represents the balance of visual element, within the harmony
and the infinite concept of Universe. It is very common to see women of this
believes that have symmetrical drawings representing mandalas in their hands or
arms, showing its meaning.
Nowadays mandalas
are also used as decorative figures due to its wide range of colour combinations
and shapes. Representing the beauty in symmetry. It is very relaxing to create
one, but at the same time it requires concentration to manage a true symmetric
form.
Moreover, it
promotes creativity because every mandala is unique and made as the way its
creator wants. If it is a bit difficult to make one since the beginning there
are some simple shapes that can be used. This is one example of a mandala made
with flowers I used to make when I was a child, and I really enjoyed making and painting it.
